Greubel Forsey

Greubel Forsey was founded in 2004 by Inventor Watchmakers Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey. Embracing a quest for excellence, the watchmaking maison strives to improve the performance of existing complications and to invent entirely new mechanisms. Today, the Greubel Forsey team consists of around 100 people contributing to the creation of just under 100 timepieces each year.

Greubel Forsey’s first invention is an innovative Double Tourbillon mechanism, with one Tourbillon cage – inclined at 30° and rotating in 60 seconds – inside another cage, completing a full rotation once every four minutes, to average out gravity-induced errors on the oscillator.

Highlights

Hand craftsmanship is the foundation of Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey’s commitment to the watchmaking profession. For them, «hand-made» symbolises a creativity that is free from industry constraints, going beyond what can be achieved with a «standard» approach. Synonymous with passion, it’s a never-ending quest.
